The Tarvin Educational Foundation is a charity set up to manage the endowment of the old Tarvin Grammar School. The purpose of the Charity is to assist the educational needs of students of secondary school age and older who live in the ancient Parish of Tarvin. The assistance may take form of financial assistance for books, instruments, tools for a trade and other projects. Usually today this takes the form of help with the costs of University or College courses, apprenticeships and also for overseas projects of an educational nature. These aware are made by the Governors of the Trust who are representatives of the Parish Councils Tarvin, Kelsall, Ashton Hayes and Clotton Hoofield, together with a member of Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council as the Local Education Authority and up to three co-opted members.
The Governors are happy to consider any application made on behalf of students residing in the qualifying area. Any students under 16 years must have parental approval.
An application form will then be forwarded for completion, which MUST be completed and returned by Saturday 5Th September, 2020.
